Scott and Kendra saved my dog’s life. I mean this literally. My family has a pit bull, Wrigley that we got as a puppy. She is now five years old. She was always very high energy. Shortly after we got her, my wife and I had a child. Soon after, we had another child. We recently moved to a new house. It wasn’t long before Wrigley started tearing up the window sills and hardwood floors with her excitement. She would bark at all other dogs and almost all male humans. We could not walk her, because she would pull on the leash so hard that she would choke herself. We would have to lock her in a crate any time anybody was at our house, and she would bark and claw at the crate the whole time. Neither Wrigley, nor my family was happy. It got to the point where we didn’t know what to do. My wife and I talked seriously about having Wrigley put down. But first, we wanted to explore all our options. We called a few so called “expert” dog trainers. Nobody we talked to would even accept Wrigley because of her age, breed and symptoms.   Thank God that we found Scott and Kendra! They offered to take Wrigley for a month and rehabilitate her. I was very skeptical that they could help, but it was our last chance.

Five weeks later, we went to pick up Wrigley from Scott’s property. Scott and Kendra spent a few hours with us teaching us the methods they used to rehabilitate Wrigley. They were very knowledgeable and made it clear that in order for Wrigley’s rehabilitation to take hold, we would have to follow through with their teachings moving forward. This is very important for all dog owners to realize. The owner’s behavior has everything to do with the dog’s behavior.

That was five months ago. The transformation in Wrigley is unbelievable. In fact, I wouldn’t believe it if I wasn’t living with it. We hosted both Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house, which we never could have done before. I take Wrigley on a pleasant walk every morning. She doesn’t bark at friends and family anymore. We can let her in the back yard off leash! She is in a much more calm state of mind, and is a pleasure to have around. We don’t have to worry about her behavior anymore. The whole family is much happier, and we have the dog that we always dreamed she could be.

I cannot praise the amazing work that Scott and Kendra do enough. Without their help, we could not have kept Wrigley in our family. Their service is worth much more than what we paid! There are no words that can describe the gratitude I have for saving my dog’s life. Our family is forever grateful to Scott and Kendra.

Scott and Kendra,

Wanted to send a note saying thank you! Evey has been home after training for just over a month. I can’t tell you how awesome she is doing! She continues to heel perfectly when we walk. When her leash is on she is an absolute perfect pup. I have taken her in several “field trips”, she impresses me more each time!  Last weekend I took her to the store and she was the most well behaved pup in the store.  At home, we use place daily and she is so good!

She is such an awesome puppy, and we believe that so much of that is due to your training!! We feel as though you brought out the best in her and us.
We recommend your program to anyone that’s asks!

We have lived with AKC registered dogs, feed store rescue dogs, and everything in between. But Truman, who was trained as a puppy by Scott Harris, has been the best of all! Scott chose Truman as a pup and trained him and us, and he is the most intelligent, adaptable and intuitive canine companion we’ve ever lived with. We would recommend Scott’s trained pups to anyone.

“Before bringing my 9 month Golden Retriever,Charlie, to the board and train program, I had a pup who was thought he was the Alpha dog, who was overly attached to me, and who barked and pulled on his leash all the time. As much as we all loved him, we just couldn’t enjoy him to the fullest. After the 2 week program, Kendra and Scott returned to us a fully transformed puppy! Thanks to them, I now have a dog who respects us! Charlie now understands that he cannot get away with everything. I take him on daily walks and there is NO pulling, he is not distracted, he listens when he hears his name, and believe it or not, I have not heard him bark at us even once. My dog now knows his place and role in the house, and we never thought we could enjoy life with our Charlie as much as we do now. Kendra and Scott are so professional and amazing at what they do, that there is not a dog on this planet that they could not help you with! Thank you again for establishing such a wonderful relationship between Charlie and us! Kendra, this is a special thanks to you for your wonderful training advice and information you gave us during the turn-over! If it wasn’t for you, we would not have been able to keep up the great work you started for us! You guys are the best!!!”

We brought out Double Doodle Bella to Canine Peace of Mind when she was 5 months old (December 2014).  We were nervous to leave our puppy for 2 weeks but excited to hope that she would learn to stop crying at night in here kennel and stop chewing everything she could sink her teeth into.  Never did we think she would come back almost human!  She always was well behaved but now she is an absolute GEM!  She listens to commands and responds immediately.  She loves her kennel and she has stopped chewing on anything that isn’t given to her.  We take many walks off leash.  She knows we are in charge.  We have 3 children who love and adore Bella so we were worried about transitioning all she learned over to them.  We have kept up with the training and have even boarded Bella back at Canine Peace of Mind where she is now helping other dogs in training.  Bella is only 8 months old right now so the fact that she is helping other puppies warm our hearts.  Scott & Kendra have been there every step of the way to answer questions or help when a situation arises.  Bella is a happy confident puppy!  I would highly recommend Canine Peace of Mind to anyone who is looking for their dog to improve on any aspect of its behavior or personality!  Both Scott and Kendra work magic and I know they love our Bella!  Bella will be a frequent tenant for sure when we take vacations!  The benefit in boarding her with them is that she gets to go through all the training drills as reinforcement when they care for her.  Take the plunge you won’t regret it!

Dear Scott and Kendra,

We are so pleased with the training Gracie received.  We have enjoyed every minute with her since her return home.  She is exactly what we wanted her to be.  Tom enjoys taking her to the local trails and long walks and I am totally comfortable taking her around the neighborhood with our other dog Maggie.  We love car rides for fun as well as trips to the vet and grooming . Our groomer was very impressed with her behavior as well as visitors to our home.  We believe she is our best dog of the 6 dogs we have owned because of Canine Peace of Mind and look forward to many years ahead knowing you’re a phone call away for support. Attached are photos of us having off leash fun. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Tom and Carol Harris

If you are looking for a dog trainer that treats your dog with love and respect and is still able to teach discipline, you have found the right place. Scott and Kendra have helped transform our household from one of puppy chaos to one with well-behaved and loving dogs.  After not so good training experiences in the past, I was looking for someone who could provide training but without harsh punishment techniques for Zoe (my Bernese Mountain Dog) and Gracie (my Newfoundland). I brought Zoe and Gracie to Canine Peace of Mind when they were about six months old. Zoe posed a challenge as she was very skittish and the situation wasn’t helped by the fact that Gracie was a bit of a bully. Scott and Kendra worked their “magic” and both girls are now well-adjusted dogs that we can truly consider a part of our family. We are forever grateful.
